Happy Flag Day, America!

June 14th is an important day in America.  It is the day we celebrate our country's flag!  In schools across the country, children salute our fore fathers by singing songs like The National Anthem, You're a Grand Old Flag, and My Country Tis' of Thee. 

Reminiscing about Flag Day, I got to thinking about the meaning of it and how it relates to mentoring. Each and every morning in grade school, we pledged allegiance to the flag, and we sang My Country 'Tis of Thee.  If the fore fathers of America aren't the ultimate mentors for the rest of us, then I don't know who is.  Be sure to take a moment today to remember them and to salute our flag.
